Foundations

• I will not distract other students around me when I am bored by trying to have a conversation with them

• I will try to sit up straight and listen when the teacher is asking the class problems or questions

• I will attempt to do my work so that I will not have to copy the work of other students

• When working in groups or teams, I will not talk about unrelated things for an extended period of time

• When working in groups or teams, I will do what is asked of me by the group

• I will not share any negative comments with my teacher or other students loud enough for them to hear because I know that I have influence over what others think and do

Basics

• I will try to concentrate on my work even if I am bored so that I will not distract anyone around me

• I will try to answer at least one problem or question posed to the class

• I will do most of my work and so that I will never need to copy the work of other students

• When working in groups or teams, I will wait until after the work is done before I try to have conversations not related to the work at hand

• When working in groups or teams, I volunteer to do the part that most interests me and will make sure that the work reflects well on the team

• I will not share negative comments with other students during class because I know that I have influence over what others think and do

Advanced

• I will help to keep those around me concentrated on their work so that the class will stay focused

• I will not only answer at least one problem or question posed to the class, but I will listen to other responses from students to give them positive feedback

• I will do all my work and volunteer to help other students with theirs

• When working in groups or teams, I will ask the group or team to stay focused if they get off-track

• When working in groups or teams, I will not only do my work well but I will make sure that all of the work delegated to team members will get done by following up with them

• I will try to be a positive influence by redirecting any negative thoughts about class, work, the teacher, or other students
