Foundations

will not text message or otherwise use my phone in class

not interrupt the teacher while they are addressing other students

refrain from asking questions that I can answer myself (ex: What page is
it on? Can I use a pencil? Can I turn it in tomorrow, etc.)

will not insult the teacher or other students at a loud volume
- I
will not interrupt other students when they are addressing the teacher or
the class
- I will
not argue with the teacher if they are getting angry at me
- I will
not laugh at other students if they give an incorrect or inappropriate
response
- I will
not get out of my seat or ask to leave the class when I am bored
- I
will not touch other students or their belongings without their permission
- I
will not rely on other students to give me answers or do my work
Basics
- I

will approach the teacher at an appropriate time to ask the teacher about
my personal concerns

will not rely on other students to help me with my work
Advanced
- I
will keep my phone off during school hours
- I
will email the teacher when I have a personal concern and ask an
appropriate time to talk with them about it

will anticipate the questions of other students that need not be directed
towards the teacher and answer them before they are asked (ex: What page
is it on? Can I use a pencil? Can I turn it in tomorrow, etc.)
- I
will compliment the teacher and other students when they deserve it
- I
will actively listen when other students are addressing the teacher and
the class and will seek to find value in what they are saying
- I
will approach the teacher at an appropriate time or after class to have a
conversation that may otherwise be considered argumentative
- I
will give positive, encouraging feedback to any students who give an
inappropriate or incorrect response
- I
will not get out of my seat unless asked to do so
- I will
not ask to go to the restroom unless it is an absolute emergency
- I
will try to understand my assignments well enough to help others
